Wedding cakes are expensive as heck. Even your basic plain white wedding cake will run you a couple hundred bucks. Add decoration to that and you might have to swap the Badgley Mischka heels you've been dreaming about for drugstore flip flops. Now, I might be the wrong person to give advice (we had donuts for dessert at our wedding), but if you don't want to go broke buying a fancy cake, you can easily get a simple cake and decorate it yourself.
